Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Carolyn. I've been working in the counseling field since the 90s — and after all this time, the one thing that hasn't changed is how I show up: I come to listen, not to lead. I work with adults, teens, seniors, and families dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, grief, anger, and everything in between. I practice via telehealth, which means if you're anywhere in South Carolina, we can work together without you having to drive anywhere or rearrange your whole schedule. I believe you already have what it takes — my job is to help you access it.

My approach to therapy

I use a mix of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and other evidence-based methods — but I don't walk into a session with a rigid plan. I follow your lead. I'm trained in PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy) for families and younger clients, and I use Problem-Solving Therapy for people who want real, practical tools they can apply right away. I believe rapport comes before anything else. Nothing real happens until you trust the space. So we'll build that first, and the work will follow naturally.

What you can expect from me

Come as you are — seriously. The first session is really just us getting acquainted. I'll ask you what's been going on, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping changes. You don't have to have it all together or know exactly what to say. We move at your pace, not mine. What I will bring is honesty — I'm going to keep it 100 with you, and I ask the same in return. By the end of that first session, you'll have a clearer picture of what we're working on and what the next steps look like.
