The clients I am looking for are those who both recognize the need for, and have the desire for, change; and are ready and willing to be transparent, vulnerable, and consistently engaged toward the goal of realizing an improved quality of life. These clients will actively participate in the development of realistic goals that they want to attain, and in the implementation of collaborative client-centered, solution-focused objectives that will help to achieve those goals.

I am equipped with almost 25 years of intergenerational experience (spanning from preschool students to senior citizens), working with a wide spectrum of the issues affecting the various age groups; including, but not limited to, behavioral and personality disorders, levels of anxiety and depression, grief and loss, and transition and adjustment issues.

I have experience in the field of Social Services, including 7 years combined with the Department of Children and Families in Orleans Parish, Louisiana and in Palm Beach County, Florida; as well as 17 years with the Palm Beach County Division of Senior Services. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology (with a minor in Psychology) from Xavier University of New Orleans, Louisiana; and a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida. I am currently (and have been for the past 13 years) a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, licensed by the State of Florida.

Being a support and helping others to resolve and/or cope with life issues is not merely a job for me, it is my life calling. I offer competent, caring, and compassionate service; and it would be my pleasure to have the privilege of serving you.

My approach to therapy includes active listening, validation, and empathy coupled with psychoeducation, support, and solution-focused challenges for change.

Clients can expect to experience compassion, understanding and validation; while at the same time being presented and challenged with opportunities for reframing and considering different perspectives, possibilities, and strategies for the change(s) they are ready and willing to accomplish.
