Great to meet you!

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to figure things out alone. With more than 20 years of experience helping individuals and families, I work with adults facing anxiety, depression, parenting challenges, relationship concerns, stress, and major life transitions. My style is warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth, creating a space where you can be honest about what's weighing on you while also gaining practical tools to move forward. Outside of therapy, I enjoy sewing, painting, gardening, and canning, and I believe creativity, patience, and genuine human connection are powerful ingredients for healing.

My approach to therapy

No two people experience life the same way, so therapy shouldn't follow a one-size-fits-all formula. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based techniques to help you better understand your thoughts, manage difficult emotions, improve relationships, and develop healthier coping strategies. My background in inpatient and outpatient mental health, along with teaching parenting and anger management classes, has given me experience helping people through a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. Together, we'll build an approach that fits your unique strengths, goals, and life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is simply a conversation about you.. what's bringing you to therapy, what you've been carrying, and what you'd like life to look like moving forward. There's no pressure to have everything figured out. We'll identify your biggest concerns, begin creating realistic goals, and discuss practical next steps so you leave with a clear direction. If you're ready to reduce stress, strengthen your relationships, and build lasting confidence, I'd love to connect. I invite you to book a free consultation to see if we're a good fit.
