Great to meet you!
Hello, I'm Carolyn Ziminski, LMHC, CCTP, C-DBT, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor dedicated to helping individuals, couples, children, and adolescents navigate life's challenges with compassion, understanding, and evidence-based care.
My clinical experience includes working with clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use concerns, emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I have specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma treatment, and EMDR-informed approaches, which allows me to help clients build practical skills to manage emotions, improve relationships, and create meaningful change.
I am particularly passionate about working with children and adolescents, couples, individuals experiencing substance use and addiction concerns, and neurodivergent clients. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process.
My approach is collaborative and tailored to each person's unique needs and goals. I believe therapy is most effective when built on a strong therapeutic relationship, authenticity, and a focus on individual strengths. Whether you are seeking support for trauma recovery, emotional wellness, relationship concerns, or personal growth, I am committed to helping you build the tools and confidence needed to move forward.
I currently provide virtual counseling services and welcome new clients seeking a compassionate, personalized approach to mental health care. Together, we can work toward creating lasting positive change and a more fulfilling life.
