Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Carrie, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My goal is to help my clients achieve a greater self-awareness, self-acceptance, and be able to find ways to develop personal growth.

My approach to therapy

I strive to provide a safe, warm, and welcoming environment to help you feel comfortable. My primary approach is person-centered therapy. This nondirective approach provides you the opportunity to guide the treatment process, with my support, by evoking self-change. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused approaches. I think it's important to have a relaxed environment that is comfortable and inviting. I also like to encourage being transparent during our sessions, encouraging honesty for a better outcome.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I will ask questions to get to know you better, in an effort to find out what areas you would like to work on, current stressors, history, and discuss goals to work on together in therapy. We will work together to come up with goals that are attainable and tailored to your specific needs.
