Great to meet you!

I’m Carrie Brekeen, LPC, LMFT, ATR‐BC, and I help individuals navigate emotional, relational, and life challenges with clarity, compassion, and creativity. With a multidisciplinary background in psychology, marriage and family therapy, and clinical art therapy, I offer clients multiple pathways to explore their experiences and build meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach integrates cognitive‐behavioral therapy (CBT) with creative and expressive methods, allowing clients to understand patterns, strengthen coping skills, and access deeper emotional insight. Whether we’re working through anxiety, depression, relationship stress, life transitions, or emotional regulation, I create a supportive space where you can feel understood, empowered, and actively engaged in your healing process.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my main goal is to get to know you and understand what brings you in. We’ll spend most of the time gathering information—your background, current concerns, history of what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to change or improve. This helps me build a clear picture of your needs and determine the best therapeutic approach moving forward.
