Great to meet you!

Maybe you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or simply not quite like yourself. Perhaps you’re navigating a difficult relationship, parenting challenges, grief, trauma, or a transition in your life and aren’t sure what to do next. Whatever brings you here, reaching out for support is an important first step.

You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I’m honored to walk alongside you as you navigate whatever life has brought your way. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening, identify what you want to be different, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools to help you feel more confident and equipped to move forward.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri and a Nationally Certified Counselor with more than 15 years of experience working with children, teens, and adults. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of helping people navigate anxiety, depression, relationships, parenting, trauma, grief, and the many transitions and challenges that can affect our mental health and overall well-being.

I believe mental health touches every part of our lives—our relationships, work, family, confidence, and sense of well-being. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can be honest, feel understood, and gain a deeper understanding of yourself.

Therapy isn’t about changing who you are. It’s about understanding yourself more fully, recognizing what may be keeping you stuck, and discovering new ways to move forward.

My approach to therapy

I don’t believe therapy should be a one-size-fits-all experience. With more than 15 years of experience working with children, teens, and adults, I’ve learned that effective therapy begins with understanding the person—not just the problem. Therapy should feel like a partnership, not a place where you’re told what you should do or how you should feel. You know yourself and your life best, and my role is to help you better understand what you’re experiencing, identify what you want to change, and find a path forward that feels right for you.

I draw from evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. I tailor these approaches to your individual needs, goals, and personality rather than following a predetermined formula. CBT can help you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and develop healthier ways of responding to challenges. A person-centered approach creates a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and understood. Solution-focused therapy helps us identify your strengths, recognize possibilities, and focus on the changes you want to make. Motivational interviewing helps you explore what matters most to you, work through uncertainty, and strengthen your own motivation for meaningful change. Together, we’ll create an approach that meets you where you are while helping you move toward where you want to be.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel a little nerve-racking, especially when you’re meeting someone new through a screen. My goal is to make your first session comfortable, welcoming, and conversational.

Your first telehealth session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, talk about what brought you to therapy, and begin identifying what you would like to be different.

We’ll spend some time talking about what you’re experiencing, what has been challenging, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I’ll ask questions to better understand your background, current concerns, strengths, and the areas of your life that may be affecting your well-being. We’ll also begin talking about your goals and what you would like our work together to look like.

Most importantly, your first session is a chance for us to see whether we’re a good fit. I want you to feel comfortable, heard, and respected throughout the process. You’re always welcome to ask questions, share what feels helpful or unhelpful, and let me know what you need.
