Great to meet you!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master of Social Work degree from San Diego State University and more than 20 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through life’s challenges. My professional background includes working in an outpatient mental health setting with adults experiencing severe mental illness, followed by two decades serving students ages 4–18 and their families within a school district setting.
Over the course of my career, I have provided individual therapy, crisis counseling, parent support, and connection to community resources while helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, family stress, life transitions, and school-related concerns. I obtained my LCSW four years ago and have continued expanding my clinical training and therapeutic approaches to best support the unique needs of each client.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed CBT, and approaches that support individuals experiencing post-traumatic stress and related challenges. I believe therapy should be practical, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s strengths, goals, and lived experiences.
As someone who has spent many years working closely with children, teens, parents, and school communities, I understand the pressures families face balancing emotional well-being, relationships, academics, work, and everyday life. Clients often appreciate my calm, approachable nature and my ability to combine clinical expertise with genuine empathy and real-world understanding.
I welcome individuals and families from diverse backgrounds and identities and value creating an inclusive space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves. My goal is to help clients build resilience, gain insight, strengthen coping skills, and move toward greater confidence, balance, and emotional well-being.
