Carson is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia, a Certified Integrative Trauma Coach, and is currently pursuing her Perinatal Mental Health Certification. She is newly trained in ERP and is able to support individuals struggling with OCD. With over 11 years of experience, Carson has worked with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, women’s sexual addictions, postpartum challenges, miscarriage and infertility, the college-to-adulthood transition, trauma, ADHD, and more.

My approach to therapy

Carson earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Lynchburg. She integrates multiple therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Attachment-Based Theory, and Somatic Therapy, tailoring her work to each client’s unique needs.

Carson also offers faith-based counseling upon request, incorporating Biblical truths at the center of the counseling process for those who desire a spiritually. Passionate about helping others find balance and healing, Carson works with clients ages 10 and up and is honored to support individuals on their healing journey.

What you can expect from me

I work with clients struggling with a variety of issues, from work-related issues to relationships to trauma, etc. During our initial sessions, we will delve deeply into the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most of my clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter.
