Great to meet you!

Many people enter therapy knowing what happened to them but still feeling stuck in the same emotional reactions, relationships, fears, or survival patterns. I focus on helping you reach the deeper roots of what you're experiencing—not simply managing symptoms or learning how to cope with pain indefinitely. Lasting healing and meaningful change are the heart of my work.

You may be carrying something that others cannot fully see—past trauma, a painful relationship, chronic illness, medical trauma, burnout, or the exhaustion of always having to hold everything together. My goal is to help you feel deeply understood while also helping you create meaningful, lasting change.

I have extensive experience helping adults heal from complex trauma, attachment wounds, relationship difficulties, anxiety, shame, chronic stress, and painful life experiences. I also specialize in supporting adults living with Type 1 diabetes, medical trauma, chronic illness, chronic pain, ADHD, diabetes burnout, and disordered eating connected to diabetes. My understanding of chronic illness is both professional and personal, which helps me recognize the emotional weight of living in a body that may require constant attention and care.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, relational, compassionate, and active. I do more than simply listen and nod. I will help you understand why certain patterns developed, how they may have protected you, and what is needed for things to finally change.

I primarily draw from Internal Family Systems, EMDR, Attachment Therapy, trauma-focused care, and mind-body approaches. Therapy is personalized to your needs, history, beliefs, nervous system, and goals. We may work with thoughts and behaviors, but we will also pay attention to emotions, relationships, protective responses, physical sensations, and the parts of you that learned to survive difficult experiences.

You will never be treated like a diagnosis or a problem to solve. I believe you already carry important insight, strength, and capacity for healing. My role is to create a safe and honest relationship in which we can understand what has kept you stuck, care for the wounded places beneath it, and help you move toward greater freedom, peace, connection, and wholeness.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for me to begin understanding you as a whole person—not a list of symptoms. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been most difficult recently, what you have already tried, and what you hope will become different.

You are welcome to share at a pace that feels safe. I will ask thoughtful questions, listen carefully, and help us identify the patterns, needs, and concerns that feel most important.

You can expect me to be warm, genuine, attentive, and engaged. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and less alone—with a clearer sense of what may be happening beneath the surface and how we can begin working toward lasting healing together.
