Great to meet you!

With over 30 years of experience, I am a bilingual (Spanish-speaking) therapist for all ages who specializes in supporting toddlers and their parents through the milestones of early childhood. Whether your child is adjusting to becoming a big brother/big sister, or the whole family is finding its rhythm in response to the phenomenon that is twins, don't quit 5 minutes before the miracle! Help is around the corner at The Hamilton Practice. After just a few sessions, children often become calmer, more secure, and more connected, while behind the scenes parents receive targeted, hands-on coaching, so the entire family can experience quick, powerful, and sustainable relief

My approach to therapy

The Chinese word for crisis, wēijī, combines the ideas of danger and a pivotal turning point. When clients reach out because something has become unmanageable, it can feel frightening — yet these are often precious hinge moments. Through the steady work of connection and containment, what feels like pain and failure can become the doorway to meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Whether the client is a toddler or an octogenarian, what I do in a first session is follow the client’s lead, paying close attention to whatever surfaces naturally. The background information that is obtained by my intake questionnaire puts everything in context, but in person I am focused on the client’s feelings and making sure that I am following them wherever their mind and spirit takes them.
