Great to meet you!

For more than a decade, I have worked in clinics, college counseling centers and hospitals seeing clients with a wide range of concerns. My work includes extensive trauma exposure with rotations in the VA and the Mount Sinai's 9/11 First Responder clinic. I have also worked as an executive functioning coach for many years helping clients coping with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Depression/Anxiety and overcoming Substance Abuse.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Multiculturalism has been at the center of work. Coming from an eclectic orientation, I start from a psychodynamic and relational frame, and together we tailor culturally relevant therapy to address your needs. I incorporate elements of DBT, AEDP and family therapies, as well as mindfulness and mind-body connection.

What you can expect from our first session

The secret to navigating life may just be understanding, and accepting, that life is inherently difficult. However - navigating those difficulties is not always so simple. As a socially conscious and strength-based clinician, I believe therapy is best approached collaboratively, looking at personal experience within cultural context. We each hold strength and wisdom to find our way through difficult and even traumatic experiences, especially with the healing power of relationship as support.
