Specializes in

Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, PTSD, and Trauma

Great to meet you!

I specialize in the treatment of trauma whether complex/developmental or chronic/single episode; however, I also diagnose and treat most other psychiatric disorders (except ADD/ADHD). Please note that prescribing of controlled substances such as benzodiazepines for anxiety, or hypnotics for sleep, is selective and temporary.

Over time, earned engineering science and nursing bachelor's degrees, and MBA and nursing master's degrees. Since 2015, have worked as a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-C) with small rural services, with medium & large county agencies, and now with private & group telehealth practices. All settings have involved the treatment of diverse populations with moderate-to-severe mental illnesses.

A bit about my approach to therapy

We will strive to identify causes of, and strategies for addressing symptoms and problems—not just to take medications. You will learn about your diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment options to inform your healthcare choices.

What you can expect from our first session

I am interested in, respectful of, and responsive to your issues, struggles, and inquiries, and I will challenge you to solve problems, to heal, and to grow.
