Great to meet you!

Hi there! I'm Casey Gonzales, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 20 years of experience supporting adults and adolescents through life’s challenges. I earned my Master’s degree from Augusta State University and am licensed in Louisiana, with telehealth availability for clients in select states. Throughout my years in practice, I’ve worked with people navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, difficulty setting boundaries, perfectionism, people-pleasing tendencies, and decision-making struggles. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process grounded in safety, respect, and authenticity. I strive to make therapy a space where clients can deeply explore their experiences, gain insight, and build practical skills for making meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach blends evidence-based strategies with a warm, client-centered style. I tailor each session to meet you where you are, helping you identify patterns that may be holding you back while honoring your strengths and resilience. Many clients come to therapy feeling exhausted from managing everyone else’s needs or grappling with persistent anxiety, perfectionism, or second-guessing their choices. I work with you to deepen self-understanding, strengthen boundaries, and build confidence in your voice and decisions. Together, we focus on creating real shifts that support both emotional well-being and everyday functioning. I strive to be a steady, supportive presence on your journey toward greater clarity and self-trust.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, we’ll take time to understand your goals and what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions to learn about your background, what you’ve tried so far, and what you hope to experience moving forward. You can expect a judgment-free, compassionate space where your story is heard and valued. Together, we’ll begin mapping out a clear path for our work — identifying immediate priorities and long-term objectives that feel meaningful to you. My aim is that you walk away from that first session feeling understood, empowered, and hopeful about the possibilities ahead.
