Great to meet you!

I’m a seasoned, relational therapist with over 25 years of experience walking alongside adolescents, families, couples, and young adults through seasons of growth, pain, and transformation. My background includes both clinical mental health counseling and long-term leadership in non-profit and community settings, which gives me a deep respect for people’s stories, systems, and identities.

I specialize in working with adolescents and families, as well as marriages/relationships and young adults. My clinical focus includes trauma, depression (MDD), anxiety (GAD), PTSD, ODD, RAD, grief and loss, LGBTQ+ concerns, and religious trauma. I value authenticity, curiosity, creativity, and humor, and I work hard to create a space where clients feel safe, understood, and respected.

At the core of my work is a belief that healing happens best in the context of a trusting relationship. I see therapy as a collaborative process rooted in honesty, compassion, and hope...where people are empowered to move toward greater integration, wholeness, and meaning in their lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is eclectic, holistic, and deeply relational. I draw from EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based therapy, DBT, and other evidence-based models, tailoring treatment to the unique needs of each individual, couple, or family.

I believe that approximately 50% of the work is the therapeutic relationship (safety, trust, and connection). Much of the remaining progress comes from a client’s willingness and readiness for change, with a smaller but important role played by specific interventions and techniques. Because of this, I prioritize collaboration, curiosity, and honoring each person’s pace.

Rather than focusing only on symptom reduction, I aim to help clients understand their patterns, make meaning of their experiences, and move toward integration (emotionally, relationally, and personally). My goal is not just coping, but lasting transformation that carries into daily life and relationships.

What you can expect from me

The first session will focus on three things: understanding the challenges that brought you to therapy, understanding who you are beyond the problem, and beginning to clarify a hopeful and realistic pathway forward.

You can expect a conversational, non-judgmental space where you don’t have to have everything figured out. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, listen closely, and help you make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and determining what type of support will be most helpful moving forward.

Most clients leave the first session feeling heard, grounded, and clearer about next steps... not rushed, analyzed, or “fixed,” but understood and supported as we begin the work together.
