Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Casey. As a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and the founder of Nexus Psychiatric Services, I built this practice for people seeking exceptional clinical care from an approachable, down-to-earth provider.

My professional foundation comes from my years of experience in the acute inpatient psychiatric setting. Navigating these high-intensity settings taught me to bring calming stability to those who are struggling, and I carry that into every outpatient telehealth visit. Today, my virtual practice supports adults, adolescents, and children (ages 6+) through life's various challenges that arrive when living with diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD. Beyond general care, I offer a deep clinical commitment to neurodivergent individuals and the LGBTQ+ community. Whoever you are and however you present, you are STRONGLY encouraged to show up to our sessions comfortably unmasked.

My approach to therapy

To me, mental health care is a convergence of our shared humanity to make sense of life's complexities. True healing requires an open, trauma-informed environment built on mutual respect. This philosophy inspires the name of my practice, Nexus, which signifies a central connection point. It represents the space where your unique interactions, lived experiences, thoughts, and aspirations intersect.

From this viewpoint, I treat psychotropic medication as a highly effective resource to stabilize your biological baseline, yielding the foundation and energy required for deeper therapeutic work. Because a pill is rarely the entire answer, our visits integrate precise clinical science with actionable strategies pulled from supportive psychotherapy, CBT, and mindfulness. This collaborative style extends directly to my work with children and adolescents, where I focus on speaking to patients as respected equals. I love translating complex clinical insights into practical, real-world tools, offering a reliable, level-headed presence instead of becoming just another rigid authority figure for them to navigate.

What you can expect from me

I take your mental health profoundly seriously, but I don't take myself too seriously. You can look forward to sharp diagnostic and prescribing expertise delivered with conversation, warmth, and an intentional lack of clinical distance.

My practice utilizes a streamlined, completely paperless onboarding process designed to protect our face-to-face time. Following our brief 15-minute introductory call, you will receive an email from my electronic health record system (PracticeQ) with a digital intake packet for you to complete. Returning your medical history and consent forms prior to our first full session lets us bypass administrative details and get going right with your care. Should we decide together that medication is appropriate, we will navigate your choices using clear, transparent terms. The first session will culminate in a concrete, highly personalized roadmap, ensuring you log off feeling fully informed, respected, and confident in your next steps.

Thank you for taking the time to read. Making the decision to trust a new provider is hard, and the transition from thought to action can feel impossible. Please book a 15-minute intro call when you're feeling up to it - I'm hoping to meet you soon!
