Great to meet you!

My name is Casey Subero. I am an LMHC in the state of New York and an LPCC in the state of California. I graduated with my master's in Mental Health Counseling from LIU Brooklyn. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and specialize in treating clients with Anxiety, Depression, communication challenges, and anger.

My approach to therapy

I like to take my time to get to know each client and build a relationship with them. I like to know the things they're having challenges with, as well as the hobbies/interests they're passionate about. I like to use CBT extensively to explore clients' thoughts and behaviors. I like to think of my time with clients as a road trip for their mental health. The client will do the driving because it's their story to tell, and I will be sitting in the passenger seat with the ol' school paper map, letting them know what exits are coming up or if we need to pull over for a second to process things.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, we will take our time and get through the intake questions to find out why you're here. Brainstorm together what we think some proper goals for therapy could look like. By the second session, we will work together to create a treatment plan. Outside of that we would take our time to get to know one another.
