Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Cassandra, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

I strive to help others navigate the complexities of life with compassion, insight, and deep understanding. I earned dual Master's degrees in Professional Counseling and Forensic Psychology from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona.

Over the past seven years, I’ve worked with individuals, couples, and families in both private practice and community mental health. My diverse background allows me to create a soft, supportive space where clients can gently uncover patterns, cultivate self-awareness, reclaim their inner strength, and find practical, lasting paths toward change.

My approach to therapy

My counseling philosophy is rooted in my many years of horseback riding. When someone is first learning to ride, they often grip the reins tightly out of fear and uncertainty—until they begin to understand themselves and their horse on a deeper level. Over time, riders discover that true connection and confidence come from softening their hold, loosening the reins, and guiding with trust.

In the same way, I hope to support you in releasing fear and control so you can embrace your own confidence, resilience, and self-trust.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll find our rhythm—like settling into the saddle—exploring your foundation and choosing a direction and pace that feels true to you.
