Great to meet you!

What is your story? This is a question that I often ask my clients to help them to identify the values, skills and knowledge they possess that make them both expert and author in their own lives. "Adulting" and acquiring healthy coping skills to deal with life's challenges can be daunting. Oftentimes we can get stuck in the past grappling with the guilt and shame of addiction and the pain that it has brought to both ourselves and our loved ones.

My approach to therapy

I have 9 years of experience in the addiction and mental health field and utilize a client-centered approach. I believe that the ability to alter one’s negative thoughts can result in healthier emotions and behaviors. Cultural competence is key as I remain mindful of the unique issues of marginalized and underrepresented populations.

What you can expect from me

The decision to seek help for addiction recovery and to replenish and preserve one’s mental health is a courageous one. Our first encounter will be warm, casual and focused on what you hope to gain from our sessions. I look forward to accompanying you on the next chapter of your journey!
