Cassandra Leow

I gained a lot of experience working with couples during my time at the UNL Couple and Family Clinic under the supervision of experienced Marriage and Family Therapists. I am trained in Gottman Level 1 and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also incorporate Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy in my work. I am passionate about helping couples and I am always looking for trainings to increase my knowledge and skills to work with couples.

My primary specialty is working with couples. Common issues that I see in couples are lack of communication, inability to manage and resolve conflict, and lack of emotional, physical and sexual intimacy. In our work, I will equip you with tools to help you develop a healthy relationship.

My secondary specialty is trauma. Apart from couples, I also work with individuals to address their trauma. Our work involves reprocessing past traumatic experiences so you can lead a healthy, trauma-free life.

In our first session, I'd like to hear your narratives of what you both are experiencing. Once I hear your narratives, I will discuss what I observed and understood about what you both are going through and what you both need. I will then discuss what we can do to help you improve and repair your relationship. I understand that talking about issues can be difficult and I try my best to make you as comfortable as possible.
