Great to meet you!

Hello there! Taking the step to begin therapy is a courageous decision, and finding a therapist who feels like the right fit is key to your healing journey. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), my goal is to provide a grounded, compassionate, and collaborative space where you feel truly seen, supported, and understood.

My Approach & Background

I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and bring a strong background in navigating complex life transitions, self-esteem, nervous system regulation, burnout, childhood trauma, family origin patterns, and relational challenges. Alongside my private practice, my extensive experience working in school settings gives me a deep, practical understanding of how academic, environmental, and developmental pressures impact mental health. I draw from client-centered, evidence-based frameworks to help you process challenges, build practical coping strategies, and foster meaningful personal growth.

Specialties & Clinical Focus

  • Childhood, Family & Relational Dynamics: Processing childhood trauma, understanding family-of-origin patterns, navigating interpersonal conflicts, and building healthy boundaries.
  • Burnout, Nervous System & Overwhelm: Learning nervous system regulation, managing chronic stress, and recovering from academic, professional, or personal burnout.
  • Adolescent & Young Adult Growth: Supporting identity exploration, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and navigating major life shifts or school/career pressures.

Whether you are working through a specific challenge or seeking a supportive space to reflect and grow, I aim to meet you where you are with empathy, practical tools, and steady encouragement. I look forward to connecting with you!

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is grounded, collaborative, and deeply person-centered. I believe therapy should be a warm, transparent space where you never feel judged, but rather supported, seen, and empowered to navigate life’s complexities.

Because no two clients are the exact same, I tailor my work to meet your unique needs and goals. My practice is informed by evidence-based and humanistic modalities, including:

  • Client-Centered & Humanistic Therapy: Creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where you lead the pace, and your values, lived experience, and goals guide our work.
  • Somatic & Nervous System Approaches: Helping you tune into how stress, trauma, and overwhelm show up in your body, providing practical tools for regulation and grounding when anxiety takes over.
  • Systemic & Family Systems: Exploring how your family of origin, childhood experiences, and environment shape current relational patterns, behaviors, and self-esteem.
  • Strengths-Based & Practical Skill-Building: Focusing on identifying your natural strengths while offering concrete, actionable coping strategies to help you navigate everyday stressors, set healthy boundaries, and prevent burnout.

Ultimately, I view our work as a partnership. My role is to walk alongside you, offering insight, gentle challenge, and steady encouragement as you gain clarity, heal past hurt, and build a more balanced, fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy—or starting with a new therapist—can feel a bit intimidating, so my primary goal for our first session is to make you feel comfortable, welcomed, and entirely at ease.

Our first meeting is primarily a collaborative conversation designed to help us get to know each other. You can expect:

  • A Safe, Low-Pressure Space: There is no "right" or "wrong" way to show up. You don't need to have your story perfectly organized; we will take things at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
  • Focus on What Brings You In: We will talk about what has been feeling heavy, what your current stressors or transitions look like, and what you are hoping to get out of therapy.
  • Understanding Your Background: We'll touch lightly on your history, current support systems, and any family or life dynamics that are important for me to understand.
  • A Collaborative Game Plan: By the end of our time together, we will start shaping a loose direction for our work so you leave feeling heard, grounded, and clear on our next steps.

Think of our first session as an introductory chat where you can also get a feel for my style and see if working together feels like a good fit for you. I am here to meet you exactly where you are, and I look forward to taking that first step together!
