Great to meet you!

I am a compassionate, empowering therapist who believes that everyone has the ability to grow, heal, and create meaningful change in their lives. My experience includes outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, youth work, and supporting individuals impacted by gang involvement and community violence. These experiences have allowed me to work with people facing a wide range of challenges while helping them build on their strengths and develop practical solutions to overcome obstacles.

Clients often describe me as kind, approachable, and easy to talk to. I believe that therapy should be a collaborative process where you feel heard, respected, and supported. While I take my work seriously, I also value the role of humor in building connection and helping people feel comfortable. I strive to be a solid, solution-focused listening ear who will help you identify your goals, recognize your strengths, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want to create.

My approach to therapy

I take a collaborative, client-centered approach to therapy, tailoring each session to your unique strengths, experiences, and goals. I use a blend of talk therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and solution-focused techniques to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical skills for lasting change. I enjoy working with youth, teenagers, and adults, creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, or simply looking to grow, I work alongside you to develop realistic strategies that foster resilience, confidence, and meaningful progress.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, the focus is on getting to know each other and creating a comfortable, supportive space where you can share at your own pace. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your background, and any relevant experiences that can help me better understand your needs, while also giving you a sense of my style and approach. This is also a time to begin exploring what feels most helpful for you in therapy, including different approaches such as talk therapy, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, or solution-focused work. Together, we’ll start identifying initial goals and shaping a treatment plan that reflects your strengths, priorities, and comfort level, with the understanding that the first session is about laying the foundation rather than solving everything at once.
