Great to meet you!

Hi-ya. I’m Cassandra Mitchell, LPC, a counselor dedicated to supporting adolescents as they navigate identity, emotion, and personal growth. Since earning my MA in Counseling from LeTourneau University in 2016, I’ve focused my work on serving youth ages 12–17, including those involved in the juvenile detention system. My approach blends empathy, authenticity, and evidence‐based care to help young people reconnect with their strengths and sense of self.

I specialize in treating identity development concerns, emotional regulation, trauma, behavioral challenges, family conflict, grief, and self‐esteem issues. My therapeutic work integrates CBT, Trauma‐Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Solution‐Focused Brief Therapy, Person‐Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness‐based practices to meet each adolescent where they are and support meaningful, sustainable change.

My approach to therapy

My approach centers on creating a safe, grounded space where young people feel seen, supported, and capable of meaningful change. I help them slow down, find clarity, and build understanding around their emotions and experiences. Through intentional self‐discovery, we work together to strengthen their sense of identity, reconnect with their inner resources, and move toward a more confident and empowered version of themselves.

What you can expect from me

My focus is anchored on building trust, understanding, consistency and intentionality. We’ll talk through experiences, current challenges, and any goals — even if they’re still under construction. I provide structure to help make sense of those things that just doesn't make sense, while giving space to speak freely. Together, we'll begin identifying the patterns, emotions, thoughts and strengths that will guide our work. My goal is for them to leave feeling grounded, understood, and hopeful about the process ahead.
