Great to meet you!

I show up as a real person first. I value authenticity, humor, and genuine connection in the therapy room. With over 10 years of experience working in the mental health and substance use treatment fields, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals through some of the most challenging and transformative periods of their lives.

My style is warm, supportive, and direct. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, heard, and respected, while also being challenged to grow and move toward meaningful change. I strive to create a nonjudgmental space where you can be honest about your experiences and explore what is getting in the way of living the life you want. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, or major life transitions, I approach treatment as a collaborative process tailored to your unique needs and goals. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to help you build insight, develop practical coping skills, and recognize strengths you may not yet see in yourself. I believe that lasting change is possible, and I am committed to helping you create a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and aligned with your values.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and practical, blending CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing while keeping sessions client-centered and down-to-earth. Together, we’ll work on building coping skills, managing emotions, and improving relationships so you can create balance and move toward the life you want.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other in a comfortable, low-pressure way. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been struggling with, and what you hope to get out of treatment. There’s no expectation to have everything figured out. This is simply a space to start where you are. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your history, current concerns, and any goals you may already have, but you set the pace. My priority is creating a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard and respected. We’ll also begin identifying what feels most important to focus on first and discuss what ongoing work might look like together. By the end of the session, many clients leave with a clearer sense of direction and a better understanding of how therapy can support their goals. Most importantly, the first session is about connection, making sure you feel comfortable and deciding together if I’m the right fit to support you moving forward.
