Great to meet you!

I earned my Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2010 from Tarleton State University and went on to complete my Master of Social Work in 2012 from Our Lady of the Lake University with a clinical focus on working with children and families. I have been practicing Social Work for 15 years in a variety of clinical settings including advocacy centers, outpatient therapy, employee assistance, and hospital/medical clinics.

In addition to clinical training, Cassandra brings a deep personal understanding of military culture, having served on active duty with combat experience and later supporting her spouse through a 25-year military career. This lived experience provides a unique perspective on commitment, sacrifice, and resilience required of service members and their families and has provided her with extensive experience supporting individuals and families through complex life challenges.

My approach to therapy

She takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), strengths-based, and trauma-informed care. Treatment is tailored to each client’s unique experiences, goals, and values, with an emphasis on building insight, resilience, and practical coping skills.

Cassandra values taking a holistic perspective that considers the impact of personal history, relationships, and environmental factors on mental health. She is committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, allow me to get to know you and what brought you toward seeking therapy today. I want to hear from you, what has been bothering you lately? Are you feeling anxious, depressed, having family issues? Clients can expect to participate in an open dialogue with me, helping me to understand your needs and allow us to become focused on your goals for therapy.
