Great to meet you!

I have worked extensively with children and adolescents for over 15 years now. I am able to assist parents with ideas for parenting and to help adolescents with the mood and anxiety issues that crop up during this period of transition to adulthood. I have worked in various settings including private practice, an adolescent treatment center as well as in a general counseling center. You will find my counseling style to be very interactive and I enjoy using creative approaches such as art therapy.

My approach to therapy

In sessions with me, you will discover that you are the expert on you and that I am merely a witness to your growth. You will be encouraged to take charge of your session as well as your life. You can count on the presence of cognitive reframing and other cognitive behavioral approaches to your concerns. However, art therapy is also a modality that I utilize to encourage your growth.

What you can expect from me

You may count on feeling empowered after having a counseling session. My goal is to assist you in feeling safe and comfortable and to feel heard and seen. I also aim to answer any questions you may have and encourage you to be assertive in expressing what your goals for counseling are. You are the navigator of your life and my intention is to be a witness to your sacred story.
