Great to meet you!

People often reach a point where they realize they have been carrying a lot on their own. That experience is often what brings someone to therapy and it is a big part of why I do this work. My interest in becoming a therapist grew out of my own experience being a client, and that perspective shapes how I show up today. I focus on being genuine, approachable, and someone you can talk to without feeling judged or misunderstood. I specialize in working with adults with ADHD and autism, including late diagnosis, high masking individuals, and women. Therapy can also be helpful for adults who are beginning to question whether ADHD or autism may have gone unrecognized earlier in life. Some people I work with are successful in their careers yet still feel overwhelmed by the effort it takes to manage daily life. I also work with anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, burnout, and life transitions. As a neurodivergent therapist, I understand how exhausting day to day life can feel and how frustrating it can be when things that seem simple for others are not.

My approach to therapy

I do not see neurodivergence as something that needs to be fixed. Instead, I focus on helping clients better understand how their mind works and how to build a life that supports them. I take a humanistic, client centered approach, which means I see you as the expert on your own life and therapy becomes a collaborative process. Our work may include emotional regulation, coping skills, executive functioning support, and understanding how ADHD or autism can connect with anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, or sleep difficulties. I also take an ADHD-affirming perspective. ADHD can bring creativity and unique ways of thinking, and part of our work is learning how to use those strengths while building systems that make daily life easier. I work with adults navigating ADHD, autism, executive functioning challenges, emotional regulation, anxiety, and burnout. Humor is welcome in sessions when it fits, because therapy does not always have to feel heavy to be helpful.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel uncomfortable, especially when you are not sure what to expect. In the first session we focus on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. We will talk about what you are dealing with right now and what you hope to get out of the process. I will also walk you through how therapy works so there are no surprises. We will begin identifying ways to support you outside of sessions, and you are always welcome to ask questions or give feedback. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling a little more comfortable and a little less alone in what you are dealing with.
