Great to meet you!

Cassandra is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Florida. She obtained her MSW from Barry University, with an additional certificate in advanced trauma informed care. She has training in various evidence-based trauma modalities, such as TIR, EMDR, and TF-CBT, recognizing that one-size-doesn't-fit-all when it comes to therapy.

My approach to therapy

Cassandra uses an inquisitive, client-centered, and integrative approach to therapy. Her goal is to support her clients in healing, self-discovery, and growth within their identified goals. She uses a collaborative approach for setting goals based on clients' presenting issues and discusses various treatment options to determine the best approach to reach those goals.

What you can expect from me

In a first session, Cassandra focuses on getting to know you as well as providing you the space to get a sense of her. This will help determine whether it's a good match for you and your goals. This can be done by identifying and exploring your goals and needs for therapy, as well as allowing you to ask any questions about the process that you may have. She also likes to complete a general assessment of your life story and history without getting into anything in too much depth initially.
