Great to meet you!

Since childhood I’ve experienced life with a lot of emotions. As an adult, I learned how powerful it can be to combine creative expression with talking to someone who can help you process both the past, present, and future.

I have a dual Master’s degree in Art Therapy and Counseling. My undergraduate degree is in Studio Art, this is where I learned how to be a creative problem solver.

I have 12+ years of experience in psychiatric hospitals, intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) programs, and private practice. I’ve also led art therapy groups in eating disorder treatment settings, provided support in hospice care, and worked with teenagers in residential facilities. I enjoy working with children ages 12+, adolescents, and adults.

I specialize in life transitions, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, grief, chronic issues, and stress management. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities (including CBT, DBT, person-centered, etc.) based on each client’s needs and goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach blends talk therapy and art-making to support insight, emotional regulation, and personal growth. Art therapy is not a required service — talk therapy is always a fully available option. Clients can incorporate art-making when and if it feels aligned with their goals, needs, and comfort level.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a relaxed, get-to-know-you intake. I like to get curious about what brings you in, relevant history, symptoms, interests, strengths, and goals so we can identify where to start and how to best work together. The first session typically does not include art therapy; creativity can be incorporated later if it aligns with your needs. Bonus! You don’t need to have any artistic ability to participate. It’s all about self expression and learning new aspects of yourself.
