Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Cassie Maxwell (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 7 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults through life's challenges.

I believe seeking therapy is a courageous step, and I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, respected, and understood. My goal is to build a genuine therapeutic relationship where you can openly discuss your experiences without fear of judgment. My clients often describe me as warm, approachable, and easy to talk to, and I strive to create an atmosphere where you can be yourself.

Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief and loss, bipolar disorder, stress, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. I am passionate about helping people recognize their strengths, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change.

I understand that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming. Whether you're navigating a difficult season or simply looking for a space to better understand yourself, I would be honored to be part of your journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, collaborative, and client-centered. I believe every person brings unique experiences, values, and strengths into therapy, and I tailor treatment to fit each individual's goals and needs.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, and trauma-informed interventions. Together, we will explore patterns that may be contributing to your challenges, identify practical coping skills, and build on the strengths you already possess.

I view therapy as a partnership. Rather than telling clients what to do, I work alongside them to increase self-awareness, develop effective tools, and create meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation of trust. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where you can share as much or as little as feels right for you.

During our first meeting, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and the concerns that are most important to you right now. We'll discuss any symptoms or challenges you've been experiencing, as well as the strengths, coping skills, and support systems that are already present in your life. I believe it's important to understand not only what is difficult, but also what is helping you get through those difficult moments.

We will also begin identifying goals for therapy and developing a treatment plan that reflects your unique needs, values, and priorities. Whether you're seeking support for a specific issue or looking for general personal growth, we'll work together to create a roadmap for our time in therapy.

Many clients worry about saying the "right" thing or knowing where to start, but there is no right or wrong place to begin. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and you will never be pressured to discuss anything before you are ready. My role is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered as we begin working toward your goals.
