Great to meet you!

I am a 57 year old married female with two grown daughters, two dogs, and two cats. I grew up in southern WV and i understand the nuances of residing in this state and challenges it can offer. I became a psychologist because i was interested at an early age in the processes of the mind and vast differences in these processes. I was also employed as a licensed social worker for almost 20 years prior to becoming licensed in psychology and i understand complexities of everyday living.

My approach to therapy

I look forward to meeting with you to address your mental health needs. I enjoy figuring out the how's and why's and coming up with a therapeutic solution. I understand that therapy is a process and not an event and will work with you to continue to assess and evaluate your strengths and will help you to enhance these strengths. After meeting you and understanding the dynamics that you lean upon we will formulate a treatment plan that it geared toward your personal goals.

What you can expect from me

We will explore new techniques to help you navigate your world. I tend to be very laid back and nonjudgmental and love using humor to alleviate stressors when appropriate. Hopefully you can learn new and exciting ways to change your automatic thoughts and perceptions through therapeutic processes.
