Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Cassondra Acampora, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) — a therapist, creative thinker, and firm believer that healing is not one-size-fits-all. I strive to create a therapy space where you can show up exactly as you are: overwhelmed, anxious, burnt out, emotionally exhausted, trying to figure yourself out, navigating life transitions, or even feeling generally okay but looking for guidance, clarity, or a deeper understanding of yourself and what truly fulfills you. Therapy can also be a space to explore your goals, reconnect with what lights up your soul, and build a life that feels more aligned and meaningful — not just a place to come when things are falling apart.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies in 2016 and my Master’s degree in Social Work in 2019 from the University of Connecticut. Since 2019, I have gained experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families across school-based, outpatient, intensive outpatient, and residential settings. I primarily work with anxiety, trauma, stress, emotional regulation, self-esteem, life transitions, relationship challenges, and overall personal growth and healing.

Outside of therapy, I recharge through art, music, reading, yoga, nature, creativity, holistic wellness practices, and exploring meaningful experiences — all things I believe can play an important role in healing, balance, and self-discovery.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is holistic, person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I believe that every person’s experiences, needs, and healing process are unique, which is why I work collaboratively with individuals to create an approach that feels supportive and individualized to them.

I incorporate modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy, nervous system regulation, and creative approaches to help individuals better understand themselves, process emotions, build coping resources, and create meaningful change. I also believe healing involves caring for the mind, body, and soul, and I often integrate mindfulness, creativity, self-compassion, and holistic perspectives into therapy.

Above all, I aim to create a space that feels warm, authentic, supportive, and nonjudgmental — one where clients feel safe enough to share their story, deepen their self-understanding, and heal at a pace that feels right for them.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a space for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust and comfort. My goal is to create an environment where individuals feel heard, supported, and able to show up without pressure or judgment.

During our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, your current challenges, important life experiences, strengths, goals, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. I also encourage questions so that you can get a feel for my style and determine whether the therapeutic relationship feels like a good fit for you.

Individuals can expect a collaborative and compassionate approach focused not only on symptoms, but also on understanding themselves more deeply, identifying patterns, building coping resources, and creating a life that feels more balanced, authentic, and aligned with who they are and who they want to become.
