Great to meet you!

About Me Welcome! I’m Cassy Dorvilier, a Haitian-American born, a Licensed Mental Health Therapist and Clinical Director with over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families on their journey toward healing and wholeness. My work has spanned social services, outpatient therapy for children, and leadership in trauma-focused residential care, giving me a deep understanding of the unique challenges people face at different stages of life.

In our sessions, I create a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your story without judgment. I draw on powerful, evidence-based approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Inner Child Work, and trauma-informed care to help you understand the parts of yourself, heal emotional wounds, and uncover your inner resilience. Whether you are seeking help as an individual or in a group setting, therapy with me is a collaborative process that supports growth, clarity, and self-compassion.

For those who wish, I also integrate faith into the therapeutic process—honoring Christian values and belief systems while respecting each person’s spiritual path. I believe true healing often addresses the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—helping you reconnect with your sense of purpose and peace.

Whether you’re a woman seeking self-discovery, a man learning new ways to process and communicate emotions, or a child building coping skills and self-esteem, my goal is to meet you where you are and walk alongside you toward a life of deeper understanding and freedom.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is rooted in a trauma-informed and client-centered perspective that honors each individual’s unique journey. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel seen, heard, and empowered. I believe that symptoms and struggles often reflect survival strategies rather than personal flaws, and I approach therapy with compassion, curiosity, and respect for these protective parts of self.

I integrate evidence-based modalities including Internal Family Systems (IFS), inner child work, and principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients deepen self-awareness, heal from past wounds, and build psychological flexibility. Through these approaches, clients are guided to explore the different parts of themselves, connect with their inner child, and develop healthier patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating.

My clinical experience spans social services, outpatient therapy with children and families, and leadership as a Mental Health and Clinical Director. These roles have shaped my ability to understand complex systems, support diverse populations, and lead with empathy and integrity.

I also recognize the importance of spirituality in healing and welcome the integration of faith when desired by the client. For those who wish, I incorporate Christian perspectives and belief systems, helping clients align their spiritual values with their therapeutic growth.

Above all, my goal is to walk alongside clients as they move from survival to authentic living—empowering them to embrace self-love, discover their strengths, and cultivate resilience for lasting change.
