Great to meet you!

Hello! Welcome to therapy.

If you are suffering from the effects of depression, anxiety, trauma, stressful life transitions, grief and loss, or poor self-concept, we might be a great fit. It is a privilege to support you in feeling more resilient, more worthy, and more capable of handling life's difficulties. My journey to becoming a licensed professional counselor began in 2012, however, it has always been in my nature to counsel.Telehealth is an easy and convenient way to receive counseling, and I welcome all Texas and Washington State clients.

My approach to therapy

My approach weaves cognitive therapy, emotion-processing, psychoeducation about the brain and nervous system, and skills to build out your toolbox for coping with challenges with a holistic perspective on mind and body. I welcome folks with depression, anxiety, trauma and stress response, traumatic loss, grief, a need for increased stress resilience, life transitions for all, and especially for women in midlife. I am open to seeing clients from all cultural backgrounds and across the gender spectrum. I am dedicated to transparently practicing within my scope and am happy to discuss "right care, right time", offer referrals as needed, and support you in advocating for yourself while navigating systems of care.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, the intake, it can feel a little bit like a biographical interview because I like to get both a current and historical perspective on what's happening for you. Everything you share is relevant to the therapy process. We often cover all the basics and have time left over for therapeutic interventions and support all within our first meeting. Another way that first sessions happen is that you may be coming in with big emotions that have been bottled up over time. When that is the case, I welcome you to express your emotions cathartically and we can cover the logistics in future sessions. I look forward to being of support!
