Great to meet you!

I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to clients seeking to improve their mental health, relationships, and overall well-being. My approach is holistic and integrative, drawing from CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and humanistic principles to create a treatment plan tailored to each client’s unique needs and preferences. I have extensive experience helping adults navigate concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and stress management.

My approach to therapy

I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and supportive therapeutic space where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered to create meaningful change in their lives. Together, we will uncover underlying challenges and problems to prioritize in treatment and work together to identify a path forward by increasing insight and self-understanding, building resilience by learning practical skills and strategies to effectively manage emotions and stressors, thus improving overall well-being. My goal is to help clients navigate life's challenges with greater clarity and confidence.

What you can expect from me

During a typical intake session, I focus on building rapport and gathering background information necessary to inform treatment. I want to hear the client's story and begin learning who they are, how their symptoms/reasons for seeking treatment have developed over time and impact their current daily functioning.

Making the decision to start therapy can be scary, intimidating, and anxiety-provoking which is completely normal. I like to keep in mind how much courage it took the client sitting across from me to attend that first intake session... (I am always a little nervous too!) and I do my best to provide a relaxed, warm and inviting space for us to get to know each other.

I feel so honored to have the privilege of working with clients everyday and helping them navigate life's challenges.. whether that be providing a space for a client to feel heard and understood; teaching specific coping skills and strategies to manage symptoms; holding a client accountable by challenging unhealthy thinking patterns or behaviors; or providing a corrective experience of what healthy relationships look and feel like.

By therapy's end, I know have done my job when I am no longer needed and my client has developed the self-understanding, self-confidence, skills, and resilience to continue on their journey without me.
