Great to meet you!

I'm Catherine - mother, daughter, wife, sister and friend. I arrived here through my own journey of 15+ years of experience in social services which began in Alaska. I support people with challenges related to anxiety and depression and also have a particular passion for the complex emotions of the perinatal/postpartum and perimenopausal/menopausal periods. Facing these transformative stages can feel isolating and overwhelming, as can grappling with the daunting experiences of infertility and loss.

I am a helper and a nurturer and have always desired to serve others. I received my undergrad from Gonzaga University and my Master's in Social Work from the University of Washington. I became a mother and that transformation was life altering, beautiful and terrifying all in one. My story and my work continue to evolve. Being with you in whatever season you are in is part of my story. Let me be with you.

My approach to therapy

I utilize a person-centered approach to create a safe environment that values your individual experience. Therapy is a path of self-discovery that we will navigate by identifying who we believe ourselves to be and why we believe this to be true. We will seek to unravel these deeply rooted beliefs and behaviors and examine them together. We will identify which threads continue to resonate and which to shed. Compassion and self-awareness are essential in the journey of knowing ourselves more fully and together we will navigate new perspectives and become authors of our own stories.

What you can expect from me

In our first meeting my hope is to establish an environment in which you feel safe to begin to open up and connect. We will discuss what brought you to this space, collect information about you and your history and set goals for our time together in the future.
