Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I attended Clark Atlanta University and earned a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology. Also, I attended Argosy University and earned a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership. I have worked in the field for over 20 years. I specialize in helping people overcome grief and loss and other mood disorders. I work with children, adults, and families understand how to effectively use research-based counseling techniques that help them feel better

My approach to therapy

I am a licensed professional counselor who focuses on helping clients build healthy relationships. I like to gather and assess the information you share during the counseling session to diagnose and to determine what you would like to get out of therapy. This approach helps you feel respected and comfortable to open up during the session so you benefit from the therapeutic process. A balance of eclectic treatment modalities are used to ensure your success in therapy.

What you can expect from me

I review information shared with me about the client's concerns or stressors before the session. In the session, I will listen attentively, ask open-ended questions, and assess the information shared to diagnose and ask about therapy goals. I ask questions about previous therapy, treatment history, personal relationships, and emotional concerns. Lastly, I will reflect and summarize the session with the client, schedule the next appointment, and assign a homework assignment, if appropriate .
