Great to meet you!

I received my Master of Counseling at Northwestern University and my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Drew University. In the past 15 years, I have worked with both adolescents and adults in a variety of mental health settings and positions including inpatient, outpatient, and, private practice.

I am also trained in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

My approach to therapy

Seeking guidance through life’s ups and downs or those feelings of being stuck is normal. Although, I am Psychodynamic trained, I utilize an eclectic approach in my work from multiple modalities; as each client's needs are unique and should be individualized. I truly believe that the therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone for progress and growth throughout treatment. I am dedicated to encouraging and empowering clients in a safe and non-judgmental space and committed to working with the client to achieve their goals, enhance mental well-being, decrease/manage debilitating symptoms, and meet the client where they are. I believe it is possible to obtain a healthier sense of self, create healthy boundaries, and see alternate perspectives.

What you can expect from me

Together, in a safe, non-judgemental evironment, we will explore the sources of problems including trauma, life stressors, relationship issues, and past unresolved problems or subconscious issues. We will also set goals as to what expectations might be as treatment progresses.
