Great to meet you!

Addiction doesn't usually start because something's wrong with you, it starts because you found something that made the pain stop, even for a little while. I've spent 8 years working with people doing exactly that, numbing hurt through substances or other process addictions, and slowly losing the life they wanted underneath it. I also work with trauma and family conflict, and with the kind of despair that eventually gets heavy enough to outweigh the fear of changing. My job is to help you do life with the hand you've been dealt, in the most productive way possible.

My approach to therapy

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy, practical tools aimed at where you actually are right now, not where you think you should be. With couples and families, I also bring in family systems and narrative work, because the people around you are usually part of both the problem and the solution.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is where we figure out what's actually going on, not just the symptom on the surface. We'll talk through what brought you in, where you want to get to, and start building a plan that fits your actual life, not someone else's idea of what recovery or healing should look like.
