Great to meet you!

Therapy can help bring out the best in you - even when things feel turned upside down. Clients report decreased anxiety, increased strength, feeling more like themself, and security knowing they have a nonjudgmental and supportive place for uncomfortable topics and fears. If you want to know more about how I may help, feel free to view my website at https://cathyverhulst.com/

A bit about my approach to therapy

I specialize in helping adults and their families as they move through cancer diagnosis, treatment, and after treatment. Cancer happens on top of life, which means it can affect everything. I provide a confidential and safe environment to help support you in being yourself vs. “a cancer patient.” I have served on Interdisciplinary Oncology Team for over 12 years, assisted over 10,000 adults and I’ve been Board Certified as Oncology Social Worker and Breast Patient Navigator.

What you can expect from our first session

There's no one way to do cancer. I provide space to speak confidentially, offer support and understanding, and bring extensive knowledge of the diagnostic and treatment process and impact on life. We address fear and anxiety, information overload, effects on relationships and work. We identify your strengths and goals, and sort through tough decisions.
