Great to meet you!

Need help prioritizing your mental health and well-being? Been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, down, or just unsure about how to move forward in your life? Struggling with career, infertility, or relationship issues? Perhaps you’ve been feeling insecure, sad, or ashamed but don’t want to open up to family and friends. I’m Dr. Woods, licensed and passionate psychologist. I specialize in PTSD/trauma, anxiety, depression, relationships, and life transitions.

Whether you're navigating IVF or grief, making a major life change, struggling as a busy parent, or needing general mental health treatment, I'm here to support you. I would love the opportunity to chat with you about how we might work together to help you get unstuck, to heal, grow and live the life you deserve.

My approach to therapy

I help clients work through psychological, emotional, and physical pain. I guide them in developing effective coping skills to regulate overwhelming emotions, rework unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, manage intrusive memories, heal past trauma, and create healthy relationships. Working collaboratively, I support clients in improving their personal, professional, educational, relationship, and spiritual functioning.

I will help you better manage stress, anxiety, or depression, heal childhood, military, racial, or other trauma wounds, or strengthen your relationships. I also work with individuals navigating various life transitions (e.g., marriage, divorce, parenting, fertility, retirement, career changes), grief and loss, and adjustment to stage of life and aging changes (e.g. menopause, chronic illness).

What you can expect from me

You can expect the therapy space to be warm, compassionate, nonjudgmental, emotionally supportive, and empowering. I believe in the healing power of genuine connection, joy, and humor and weave these aspects into my therapeutic approach. Above all else, I believe in honoring your humanness and will treat you with dignity and respect.

In your first session, we'll explore your mental health needs, identify what is most important to you, and collaborate in creating your treatment plan. We can tailor your treatment to fit your needs, goals, and values. Most clients report feeling better after their initial session. I look forward to helping you feel better, heal, grow, and improve your quality of life! I can't wait to hear from you!
