Great to meet you!

Hi. I'm so happy that you reached out for help. I am Cathi Brisart, a licensed Clinical Social worker (LCSW) providing therapeutic services in self-esteem, trauma, anxiety, grief and loss. I have worked with individuals, couples and families seeking therapy for over 10 years. I was educated in Connecticut. Receiving my therapeutic training at Southern Connecticut State University graduated with honors (Cum Laude for undergraduate degree and Magna Cum Laude for graduate degree).

A bit about my approach to therapy

My style is to make the client comfortable. I use whatever therapeutic techniques are needed to help the client move forward on their journey to wellness such as CBT, trauma focused, traditional talk therapy, and grief counseling, etc. I specialize in anxiety, grief and loss, and trauma.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect a warm friendly environment that will help them relax. They can expect to take away from the sessions a better understanding of why they may feel the way they do, act the way they do, and leave with tools to help them better deal with these feelings and behaviors.
