Great to meet you!

I'm so glad you're here! My name is Cathryn, and I'm passionate about helping individuals reconnect with themselves, heal from past experiences, and create lives that feel authentic and fulfilling.

With 4 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I specialize in attachment-based trauma, particularly experiences rooted in childhood and adolescence. I also support individuals navigating women's issues, maternal mental health, identity, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, and major life transitions.

Sometimes, the experiences we've carried for years can shape how we see ourselves, connect with others, and move through the world. My goal is to help you better understand those patterns, reconnect with your strengths, and begin creating a relationship with yourself that feels grounded in self-trust and compassion.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in curiosity. I believe meaningful healing happens when you feel safe enough to explore your experiences without judgment and begin making sense of your story.

I draw from attachment-based therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and other relational approaches to help you understand how past experiences may be influencing your present. Together, we'll explore emotional patterns, strengthen your connection to yourself, and develop practical tools that support lasting change.

I don't believe therapy should be a one-size-fits-all experience. We'll work together to find an approach that honors your needs, respects your pace, and empowers you to move toward greater self-awareness, healing, and authenticity.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for you to share your story, explore what brought you to therapy, and talk about what you're hoping to get out of our work together.

I know that opening up can feel vulnerable, so creating a warm and trusting relationship is one of my top priorities. You won't be expected to have everything figured out or share more than you're comfortable with. We'll move at a pace that feels right for you.

Together, we'll begin identifying your goals and creating a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, feel understood, and begin your healing journey. My hope is that you leave feeling supported, connected, and hopeful about what's possible.
