Great to meet you!

I specialize in helping people feel better, function better, and live more fulfilling lives. If you and/or your family are in transition, whether it be an individual issue, a couples issue, your kids exhibiting stess, managing and adjusting with aging family members, divorce/separation, a simple communication breakdown, changing the effects of multigenerational trauma...call me. I have been working with all this and the symptoms of all this like depression, anxiety, relationship distress, substance misuse, anger, for many years. My work rangesb from short term adjustments, to longer term in depth psychotherapy.

My approach to therapy

First, I listen carefully to really hear how you think and feel... knowing you is most important. Second, we identify what it is you are really looking for,... feeling better on the inside, for example dealing with sadness or fear of something, communication and connection in relationships, a source of family distress or difficulty. Then, we make changes.

What you can expect from me

The first session will be devoted to getting to know each other a little bit, identifying clearly what it is that has been going on that brings you to therapy, understanding what you are looking for, looking at options that could help you, and identifying what style of interaction works for you the best. Many people come to therapy feeling disconnected, unsettled, unsure of something new or stuck in old patterns. These experiences often show up as anxiety, low mood, hopelessness, anger, avoidance, or ongoing conflict in relationships or at work. I offer a safe place to understand these patterns and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others
