Great to meet you!

Mental health is rarely just one thing. Anxiety and substance use. Bipolar and relationships. Trauma and the body. I work with the full picture, not just the label.

I am Dr. Cathy Quinn, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 16 years of experience working with adults across a wide range of emotional and behavioral health challenges. I bring a depth of specialized training that most providers do not carry including Neurolinguistics, EMDR, Art Therapy, the Unified Protocol for emotional disorders, and evidence-based approaches for bipolar, depression, anxiety and chronic health concerns and end of life. I meet every client exactly where they are. I have a doctorate in Counseling Psychology. I started working as an intern with individuals in addiction treatment programs in 2004. I have worked in community Mental Health treatment facilities.

My approach to therapy

I draw from a broad range of evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and the Unified Protocol, and I tailor everything to what you actually need. For some clients that means talk therapy. For others it means working with the nervous system through biofeedback, or processing through art when words are not enough. I do not believe in one-size-fits-all treatment because people are not one-size-fits-all.

What you can expect from me

A conversation about where you are, what has brought you here, and what you want to feel different. We will take it at your pace, and you will leave with a clearer sense of what we are building together.
