Great to meet you!

I believe everyone, no matter who they are or what they are going through, deserves to be seen, heard, and treated with dignity. And while I may hold certain credentials to help them, my clients are the experts of their lives. I see my role as a partner with them on their journey, each of us equipped with our own unique talents and skills. I am there for them when they need to be lifted up as well as when they need to be challenged to push themselves. My own journey has been guided by a passion to help others, starting in the classroom 32 years ago as a teacher, benefitting from therapy myself over the years, and finally becoming an LCSW.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, personalized, and eclectic, but if there is one skill I think I have perfected over the years, it is listening. To me, listening is more than just hearing what my clients are saying, it is about entering into their space and understanding who they are, without judgment. Here, I can help them make meaning of their lives and develop a practical plan of action to live better. In so doing, I draw from all aspects of my background and utilize techniques from CBT, mindfulness, and narrative therapy.

What you can expect from me

Connection. Humans need connection to survive and ideally, to thrive. So if you are feeling disconnected, lost, or just confused about some things going on in your life, therapy may be right for you. I know it has been right for me at different stages in my life, and I hope I can be there for you in whatever you are going through.
