Great to meet you!

Hello, thank you for reading my profile. Are the pressures and complexities of daily life at times stressful, challenging, or overwhelming? I would like to offer a therapeutic environment where you feel acknowledged, respected, and supported so that you may experience reduced stress and approach life with greater positivity.

I focus on creating a safe space for you to share challenges and work toward emotional and behavioral wellness. You do not have to manage life's challenges alone, whether they are due to genetics, experience, or relationships.

I am a State of Washington licensed clinical mental health therapist and provide online mental health therapy. I have been practicing for 5 years following attaining a Master of Applied Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University New England in 2020. I am also a U.S Military Veteran and was a teacher for general, special, and college level education. I am a mother of three adults and two granddaughters.

I have lived in different regions of the United States, as well as in Germany. I love experiencing the diverse landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. My favorite activity is hiking on trails with my dogs and family.

My approach to therapy

Managing and healing from trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD, Autism, or other mental health issue is difficult for people of all ages. I utilize a person-centered, humanistic approach to mental and behavioral health counseling, prioritizing everyone’s values, background, and unique experiences. My goal is to support clients in enhancing their overall mental well-being.

My practice experiences range from o school aged children to U.S Military Veterans to end of life. My extensive personal and professional life experiences greatly inform my individualized therapeutic approaches.

What you can expect from me

In our first session we begin to build a therapeutic rapport which allows for trust development and collaboration in treatment. I will introduce myself and explain my therapeutic approach, discuss privacy, confidentiality, mandated reporting.

You will complete intake documentation and answer questions regarding biological, medical, psychological, and social background/histories, current situations, what brought you to therapy, and the specific mental behavioral health issues that you would like to address.

This is where you begin to share your story, not a deep dive initially. With continuing follow up sessions, together we will develop your treatment plan and engage working toward your wellness goals.
