I am a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-S) who specialize in cognitive based therapies. My studies in Mental Health began at UT Arlington where I received a MS in Social Work. Upon completion of my degree, I participated in a Post-Master Fellowship in Addictions and Co-Occurring Disorders from 2007-2008. Since that time, I have participated in research studies focused on addiction and co-occurring disorders and have trained in various evidence-based practices.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My goal is to assist you in your journey to recovery. To ensure your journey to recovery is successful, it is important that you understand what you are experiencing and why. I will not only help you process your thoughts and feelings, but I will educate you on your illness and equip you with the tools necessary to maintain mental stability.

What you can expect from our first session

Each client has a story and emotional pain that they carry into their first session. As your therapist, I will actively listen to your story, ease your discomfort and assist you in identifying your strengths to decrease your pain while establishing a rapport with you. In your first session, you will be informed of what to expect in therapy based on your treatment goals. All sessions will be collaborative in nature, inspire hope, and insightful.
