Great to meet you!

Hi I'm Cayla!

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and Dance/Movement Therapist.

I received my BA in International Studies and Correlate Hispanic Studies from Vassar College in 2015.

I received my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling; Concentration: Somatic Counseling - Dance/Movement Therapy in 2023.

I am EMDR Trained and PACT Level 1 Couples Therapy Trained.

Areas of Focus: Trauma, Domestic Violence, Identity Development, LGBTQIA+, Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Relationship issues, Intimacy, Communication, Body Image, Interracial Relationship dynamics.

My approach to therapy

I offer counseling services for adults and couples (18+), integrating somatic practices with traditional therapeutic approaches to support healing and deeper self-understanding.

My goal is to walk alongside you in your personal journey. Once we decide to work together, we’ll act as partners in your therapeutic journey. It’s important to me that we communicate openly and you feel respected in our relationship. I’ll be there to listen to you, challenge you, and support you along the way.

What you can expect from me

During your first session with me, you'd be invited to share more about your story and we'd discuss potential treatment options to ensure we are a good fit! It's important to me that you feel comfortable with your course of treatment. I enjoy creating a therapeutic environment that feels warm, and spacious but offers adequate structure to support you in working towards your goals!
