I received my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I have experience working with children age 21 months through 18-years-old. I have also worked with adults of all ages. I have experience working with families and uses a family systems approach.
I use humor, compassionate inquiry, and accountability to help people make lasting changes toward a quality life worth living. I use different techniques from several therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and brain-based interventions. I am also trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Your first session will include three parts: an introduction to therapy, an assessment, and discussion on your goals. We will work together to create a treatment plan over the next 1-2 sessions, identifying effective and culturally relevant strategies to meet your goals.
